Costa Rica Red Honey Single Origin Coffee
Red Honey refers to how the bean is processed (removed from the fruit). The coffee fruit once picked is turned hourly on raised beds for a few days, then transferred to a greenhouse and turned regularly. This is a similar process to the Yellow Honey coffee we had from the same farm, but in the Red honey process the bean is left in the fruit longer in the greenhouse giving it a more intense fruit flavor. Pour-over is the suggested preparation method.
Tasting Notes: Sweet and smooth with tart citric acidity; winey fruit, rich dark chocolate, cherry flavors.
